New ways of collaboration

The KresCo project combines many different perspectives, expertise and methods of the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft in a new way. It is the first project to be carried out jointly by the ISI, IAO, IRB and IMW institutes under the leadership of INT, all of which are members of the Fraunhofer Innovation Group, and focuses strongly on social, sociological, economic and political science issues in the context of an ongoing crisis.

It thus moves in a dynamic field between retrospective analyses and the derivation of prospective recommendations for action in a context that is constantly changing and posing new challenges. A variety of methods, questions and research contexts come together.

In the following, you will find more detailed information on the individual institutes an tasks involved. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us!

Fraunhofer IAO

How will people live and work in the future? Asking this and similar questions, researchers at Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering IAO apply their findings in practice to achieve concrete results. Our experts shape the interaction between humans, technology and organization with a view to the whole, keeping each customer’s specific needs in mind. We help companies and institutions recognize the potential of new technologies, harness them for profit, and open up attractive future markets. Employ our knowledge advantage to make your business a success!

Fraunhofer IMW

The Fraunhofer Center for International Management and Knowledge Economy IMW in Leipzig has been conducting applied, socio-technological and socio-economic research in Leipzig, Germany, since 1996. For the long-term success of customers and partners from business, industry, research and society, the institute develops scientifically based solutions for current global challenges. The institute thus specialises in a range of services on internationalization and knowledge economy in various world regions, including especially North Africa and various parts of the Asian continent (especially West Asia and Southeast Asia).

Fraunhofer INT

The Fraunhofer Institute for Technological Trend Analysis INT creates, and continually updates, a comprehensive overview of the general research and technology landscape and of the entire spectrum of technological development. We consolidate the general overview with our own specialized analyses and forecasts in selected technologies and by our own theoretical and experimental work in the field of electromagnetic and nuclear effects.

Fraunhofer IRB

The basic mission of the Fraunhofer Information Center for Planning and Building (Fraunhofer IRB for short) is to guide its customers effectively and efficiently to the information they need.  The institute has decades of experience in the field of knowledge transfer for building information. The competencies gained in this area have also been offered to other Fraunhofer institutes for many years. The Fraunhofer IRB has established itself as a “knowledge service provider” within the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft. On the one hand, users from the entire construction and planning sector are addressed as customers. The careful, reliable, neutral and objective processing and transfer of information has top priority at the Fraunhofer IRB. In connection with the technical and content-related quality, they are the reason for the institute's unique selling point. On the other hand, there are all Fraunhofer institutes and their scientists who act as customers and authors of research and publication management services.

Fraunhofer ISI

The Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research (ISI) is an institution of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft with a focus on the interdisciplinary analysis of conditions for the emergence of innovations and their effects. Knowledge from the fields of technology, social science and economics comes together in seven different Competence Centers. The research goal of Fraunhofer ISI is to consider challenges of current and future generations at the present time in order to be able to present innovative solutions on a national as well as international level for a sustainable future. For this purpose, scientists from different disciplines work today on tomorrow's solutions according to the highest scientific standards.
